Lucille Nolan

Lucille Nolan’s work explores architectural and perceptual impossibilities through shifting psychological landscapes. Her compositions echo  Piranese's labyrinthine qualities, whilst using the back drop of modernity as a central element in her design. The inter-changeability, emptiness, and decay of her images speak about industrialisation on a global scale, as their locations remain non-descript, a constant variable seen in any major city around the world.

Lucille Nolan studied Fine Art at RMIT University in Melbourne and has most recently exhibited in the Same Same But Different exhibition at i-Candy Arts, Hastings, 2008 and the Bumbershoot Studios Group Show in London 2008. Her work was included in an exhibition of contemporary Australian artists at Design Festa in Tokyo 2006 and at Arts Aporia in Osaka 2005. She was awarded the Nu Arte: Episode VI Photography award in 2006 and has also had solo exhibitions in Melbourne.
